MOTORHEAD HAS SPOKEN!

QUESTIONS Updated April 10, 2008
ANSWERS FROM LEMMY

Q: Did you ever meet or sing with Bon Scott ? Do you like AC/DC?

Lemmy: I love AC/DC. Supported them twice in the early 80s. Good guys as they still are. Never recorded, no.

Q: Lemmy,

Hey dude! I just have to say that I love Motorhead and everything you guys do. I have so many questions for you guys, but the first thing that comes to mind for me is just for you Lemmy: What was it like to work with Dave Grohl on the Probot album?

Lemmy: He's an excellent man and a mean musician! Of course, the Suicide Girls were the high point!

Q: How the fuck did Lemmy end up advertising crisps with Gary Lineker? This isn't a criticism, you do what you have to do to pay the bills, and hevan knows Dr. Jack is very expensive these days; but I'm intrigued to learn how you got invitied?

Lemmy: It was my publicist - we got a box of Walker's each. Good deal. Salt & Vinegar!

Q: After years and years of being the ultimate rock & roll rebel how does it feel to have very slowly metamorphosed in the eyes of the public into a respected member of the rock & roll "establishment" - did you wake up one morning and go "oh fek" or did you fight it every step of the way? Or do you, like me, find it amusing to be called "sir" by the corporate suits that turned rock & roll into "the music industry".

Lemmy: Yes it is IS amusing - and kind of disgusting! The only reason I was "accepted" is that I wouldn't die!

Q: I heard the Rock n Roll album recently. How did you get Michael Palin involved with the record? Are you a Python fan?

Lemmy: Oh yes I am a Python fan! We were working in his studio & the engineer asked him. Brilliant!

Q: Hey, What exactly is the song "Lost Johnny" about? A child's play? A puppet show? It's an really awesome song and i've been pondering for a while now what the hell it's all about.

Lemmy: It's a Mick Farren lyric - so I just put a word in here and there. I think it's probably just word-play.

Well, that's it for now. We'll be posting more Q+A very soon so keep sending them in.
