LEMMY HAS SPOKEN

NEW QUESTIONS Updated MARCH 31,1998NEW

Q: Why don't you make book about Lemmy (you). I'm sure it would sell like "#¤%%". (I suppose you would make some money too!!)

A: Writing it write now (!) All we got to do now is find a publisher who ain't a comedian!

Q. I'm just a bit puzzled how you could come up with a song like "Don't let daddy kiss me", which by the way is a great song. Not many guy's would be able to write and perform a song like that without being afraid it would underground their "heavy" rock image. This makes you a f*****g great artist. Just wish you would play it on a concert though.

A: Thank You. Thank You.

Q: Lemmy, did you ever fuck Wendy-O?

A: Yes, and let me tell you this; she fucked me right back.

Q: Which was your first bass? Do you still have it? Was the bass the first instrument you ever played?

A: It was a Hopf bass which Del Dettmar got in a Heathrow Airport auction. Gone now. Played guitar first, but had to admit reality!

Q: In a local "alternative" weekly, either (Twin Cities, MN) City Pages or the recently defuct "Reader" there was a reference to a band called "Bad Liver" who were releasing a new album but were best known for "doing acoustic versions of Motorhead songs". If someone else is trying to do "Motorhead Unplugged", why isn't "Motorhead Unplugged". It's less dramatic than Pat Boone. (come to think of it, how about Motorhead collaborating with Pat Boone?)

A: Pat Boone, eh? Have you no respect for the dead?

Q: I think some of your lyrics are really great, what are you reading ? Would you recomend a book or an author? My father doesnÕt like my music most of the time, but he likes Motorhead a lot! Thanks !!! ( for the music, for the lyrics and maybe for the answer )

A: I recommend (curses) Len Deighton - try a book called "Winter". Also Michael Moorcock, Stephen King, OK?

Q: What song do you recommend for a romantic diner?

A: Diner? Or Dinner? There are no romantic Diners. For Dinner try flamenco guitar and eat Mexican.

Q: What are the most inane and the most intelligent questions you've encountered thus far? When will you come back to Washington DC? Does touring still kick in that primal thrill for you?

A: It varies. I hate "So, how did Motorhead start"; and "When do you think you'll give it up?" D.C.? Dunno, U.S. in the summer so maybe.

Q: When is your "work-out" video ready to be released????

A: When I can reach the bars

Q: Lemmy, have you ever met Pandora Peaks? And what do you think of "Another Perfect Day"? I find it excellent, I don't understand why it's so underrated...Bye!

A: No; I wish! I liked "Another Perfect Day", perhaps Brian's trousers put people off!

Q: What is the loudest place in the Earth?

A: The middle.

Q: Lemmy, can you please tell me where the name "Motorhead" comes from? By boss at work tells me it's a term used for a speed-head (one who takes amphetamine) because one night you and someone were banged up in jail for being under the influence of the drug, and the two of you then decided to get together and form a band together. I thought the name comes from the song Motorhead that you did with Hawkwind - or is it that the song was written after the two of you were banged up dor the drug usage? Also, do you have any plans of coming to the UK and playing at Donington? That'll be great. Thanks.

A: The name comes from an old American slang for speedfreak, or lover of speed as in cars, etc. Vroom vroom.

Q: You donÕt like David Letterman to much, do you? I saw that show, I used to have it recorded. Lost it in a divorce. You guys tore up the Tonight Show. Great Job.

A: David Letterman didn't like US much. Never a word from him except on camera. Jay Leno, however, is a gentleman.

Q: Lemmy, I saw you on the overnight sensation tour in Chicago you guys JAMMED!!! The more I listen to the album the more I dig it, love the acoustic guitar. I just saw the strange days festival in Sherman, New York. The rumor was that you were going to join Hawkwind onstage. Is this true? Dave Brock announced that you were going to appear but were feeling under the weather and that you may join them on some dates in England, is this true? Did you not appear because Nik Turner joined Hawkwind onstage? It would have been quite a moment to see the three of you on stage together. Hopefully it may happen in the future. Hope to see you in Chicago soon without any poser band like WASP to foul things up. Rock on Count Motorhead!!!

A: I was going to play, but they wouldn't pay the plane fare! Thrifty!

Q: Do you know of Steve Haley from Philly? Claims to know you & girlfriend (name slips my mind but he told) said he played somewhere opening with his band for Motorhead. Had hollywood CA phone # and said it was yours. IÕm a huge fan, he sounded like he could have been full of shit. Need to know.

A: Call the number - if I answer, I guess he's telling the truth!
