November 4/01 New TOUR THRU TIME and Other News

First off, I have uploaded a new Tour Thru Time concert for your listening pleasure. A rare treat straight from lemmy's personal archives. This is the first 45 minutes of Motorhead's concert in Zurich, Swtizerland promoting the Another Perfect Day record. This tour was unique as it represented the only tour to feature Brian "Robbo" Robinson on guitar. Featured on this show were some early classics along with some great tracks from Another Perfect Day that are rarely heard live these days.

The recording is from a soundboard, but it is almost 20 years old. So, there are a few glitches in the tape. But overall this is a great Motorhead live experience and a wonderful chronicle of the band's live show from 1983. Click Here to Enjoy!

I spoke to Phil today and he said that work on the new album is progressing nicely. All of the instrumental portions are almost complete. Next comes the vocals and then the mix. He told me that HHH from the WWF and his wife came to the studio a few days ago so that HHH could add some spoken word that will be used on the new Motorhead album.

We also talked about the Boneshaker DVD. It looks like the release date will be December 17 - just in time for X-mas! They are still tweeking some of the special sections of the DVD. Phil said that the 25th Anniversary show looked & sounded great! I have also been told by SPV that the DVD contains several "Easter Eggs". Be sure to search for the hidden sections to experience the special additions to the DVD.

In related news, HHH himself will be visiting the Motorhead studios this coming weekend to add some voice tracks to the new Motorhead release. From what I can gather, HHH will be adding spoken word with Lemmy to a part of the new record.

September 26/01 Motorhead Celebrates 25th Anniversary
With Special Tour Dates and Essential Reissues;
New Material Due In Early 2002!

Britain's legendary Motorhead has great reason to celebrate! Not only has the band been influencing the gamut of hard music for the past 25 years (ranging from Punk and Hardcore to every extreme of Metal), but also this anniversary season has seen the band appear on some high-profile television events. On April 1st, the band performed their single "The Game" live at WWF's premier wrestling event Wrestlemania X-7 at the Houston Astrodome (the song doubled as the theme music for WWF star Triple H). A week prior to that event, the band made a special appearance with Triple H on the highly successful program Smackdown. This past Monday, September 24, Lemmy Kilmister & crew participated in the filming for an episode of The Drew Carey Show, which is scheduled to air on October 24th.

Throughout the Fall, Sanctuary Records Group's imprint label Metal-Is Records will be re-releasing a dozen key Motorhead titles, each with bonus tracks, essential for any hard music fan's collection. The releases include: All The Aces, No Remorse, Ace Of Spades, No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith, Bomber, Iron Fist , Overkill, Another Perfect Day, Orgasmatron, Rock 'N' Roll, No Sleep At All, The Chase Is Better Than The Catch (The Singles A's & B's). Also in the works is the release of Motšrhead's 25th Anniversary DVD, Live At The Brighton Academy, which is slated to feature guest performances from Brian May (QUEEN), Fast Eddie Clark (ex-Motorhead), Whitfield Crane (UGLY KID JOE) and Doro Pesch (DORO, WARLOCK). The band is furiously composing their next album for the Sanctuary Records Group, which is expected for a Spring 2002 release.

September 16/01 ATTACKS ON AMERICA

The whole world was left in shock as terrorists attacked america this past week. Thousands of people have died and millions of lives have been affected. Lemmy had this to say about the whole tragedy:

Lemmy Sez:

Since I've been coming to America to tour since 1973, I feel kind of like an adopted American in a lot of ways, and this atrocity hit me too. The cold-blooded way these assassins used passenger flights (and whatever creed these people follow, there were surely some of the same creed among the passengers) is unforgivable.

They need to be certainly identified, and then blasted and razed from the face of the earth. This is one instance where revenge is inevitable - just make sure they're the right guys and then erase 'em. All our condolences to the relatives and friends - all my disgust for the perpetrators.

TotalRock, the UK's only dedicated rock and metal radio station, have enlisted the legendary Lemmy for a one-off appearance on Thursday, July 26th. He'll co-present the hugely popular 'Metal Mayhem' show with regular host and old pal Krusher. The show broadcasts daily between 3-6pm (UK time).

A hero on the metal scene for three decades, Lemmy is not only the man behind the redoubtable Motorhead, but a media celebrity in his own right; he can currently be seen on TV alongside football star Roy Keane and notorious comedian Bernard Manning in a Kit-Kat ad - playing the violin!

Described by TotalRock chairman and broadcasting legend Tommy Vance as the "biggest breakthrough for real Rock and Metal music ever", TotalRock's rapidly growing popularity is no surprise, given nu metal's huge youth appeal, punk's present chart success and classic rock's current boom.

June 16/01 Alan Burridge Releases Crime Thriller!

Long time Motorhead supporter and founder of the Motorheadbangers, Alan has released his first novel. Here are the details:

The Message by Alan Burridge

Is an intriguing crime thriller available now by downloading from www.e-booksonline.net

In America and Canada, e-books are one of the fastest growing ways of buying and reading a book. It's catching on everywhere, so why not give it a try?

Alan Burridge has been writing all his life and, since 1979, for heavy rock band, Motorhead, as their Fan Club organiser / editor. Turning his attention to fiction during 1991, he began writing short stories and then full-length novels. Excited by the groundbreaking idea of e-books, he decided the media an excellent outlet for his intriguing, twisty tales. He hopes you agree and enjoy them too, there are more to follow.

THE MESSAGE

ALAN BURRIDGE

Almost a year after the murder of media celebrity, Cathy Sphinx, the police are no closer to solving the crime and the murderer always one step ahead.

Broadening their net, two members of Kensington CID visit Poole in Dorset to question seven individuals who are similar to descriptions given by eyewitnesses close to the murder scene.

Due to the fact Kensington police are sniffing around the area and want to interview him, Eddie Taylor moves from his apartment quickly, selling off a number of unwanted items, including an answerphone which, in his haste, he fails to check for any calls.

Temporarily unemployed Izzy Daniels buys the answerphone from a used goods store as a means of recording messages from prospective employers and the job centre. Plugging in the machine at home, it plays a recording of a woman being murdered. Daniels, and her friend and landlord, Martin Johnson, enhance the recording to find the murder occurred less than twenty four hours previously.

Daniels and Johnson set out to find who owned the machine so they can hand over the cassette, but in doing so, become involved in the local Mafia underworld, in which Taylor, a highly paid hit-man, is an integral part.

Despite local and Kensington police involvement, Daniels and Johnson are sucked into a world of crooked dealings, murder, drugs and pornography. After Taylor murders DanielsÕ boyfriend, she follows him to the Canary Island of Fuerteventura to confront and kill the man who has robbed her of the love of her life, and also discovers the identity of the mysterious ÔTaurus;Õ instigator of the underworld Ôhits.Õ

Download your copy of the story for 3-50 GBP; so have your credit card ready and visit www.e-booksonline.net. Thank you for reading me.

June 12/01 Lit, Sevendust and Others Honor TWISTED SISTER on KOCH Tribute Album

Lit, Sevendust and Many Others Honor TWISTED SISTER on Long-Awaited Tribute Album,
Delivered By KOCH Records On August 14th!!

The release of tribute albums has become quite a marketing spectacle, gathering seemingly unrelated artists to pay respect to a common bond, but there was one band that never truly received its proper veneration: Long Island's TWISTED SISTER. Although many tribute albums are devoted to bands that sold outrageous numbers of records, had vast strings of hits and provided influence to certain aspects of music, Twisted Sister is most deserving, as they paved the way for a number of revolutions in rock culture! Finally, recognizing the band's importance, KOCH Records, in cooperation with production/distribution company Shooting Gallery, Inc., is pleased to release 'Twisted Forever' on August 14th!

The album features many of today's hottest artists (ranging from Lit to Nine Days), rock icons in their own right (including Sebastian Bach & Joan Jett), masters of streetwise aggression (such as Sevendust and Vision Of Disorder), as well as leaders of underground extreme movements (like Cradle Of Filth and Nashville Pussy) - an unlikely motley crew of talent to be inspired by the same band! But as Nine Days vocalist John Hampson testifies: "Twisted Sister has actually been a part of my musical world since I was 7 years oldÉ" Even Public Enemy's notorious frontman Chuck D shows his respect: "Angst Anthem music Dee and the boys personify, and obviously some of that rebellion rubbed off on fellow Long Islanders Public Enemy in the game of rap."

Twisted Sister founding member and guitarist JJ French applauds the effort: "All of the artists on this album felt that we made some impact on them. I can honestly say that I am humbled at the work of all of them."

Despite their outrageous costumed guises for which the band became popularized, Twisted Sister actually made extraordinary contributions to rock music as well as pop culture! Screaming out of the NY bar scene in the late 70s, they combined back alley, testosterone driven energy with classic, blues-based rock, creating a formula that not only charged a street-gang mentality among the youth, but also led a campaign of motivation through musical entertainment. And with the onset of the then infant MTV during the early 80s, Twisted Sister's rock anthems expanded to influence freethinking among suburban-area adolescents through entertaining videos depicting Wile E. Coyote¨ situations befalling ultra-conservative parental figures. Singles such as "I Wanna Rock" and "We're Not Gonna Take It" exploded on radio becoming Top 40 commercial hits and granted the band opportunities to embark on worldwide arena tours!

In honor of the band's accomplishments, VH-1 is currently in production of a Twisted Sister 'Behind The Music' special, slated to air in early August. The overwhelming demand for Twisted Sister merchandise and information recently spawned an official website, www.TwistedSister.com, and KOCH's tribute album is a solid statement verifying the band's place in rock history! With all the renewed interest towards 80s rock music, can a Twisted Sister reunion tour be far behind? Only time will tell.

The 16 tracks for this multi-faceted mammoth of a tribute (featuring songs spanning Twisted Sister's entire career) consists of:

Lit - "I Wanna Rock"
Joan Jett - "We're Not Gonna Take It"
Motšrhead - "Shoot 'Em Down"
Nashville Pussy - "The Kids Are Back"
Nine Days - "The Price"
Chuck D - "Wake Up The Sleeping Giant"
Anthrax - "Destroyer"
Overkill - "Under The Blade"
Cradle Of Filth - "The Fire Still Burns"
Vision Of Disorder - "Don't Let Me Down"
The Step Kings - "Burn In Hell"
Fu Manchu - "Ride To Live (Live To Ride)"
Sebastian Bach - "You Can't Stop Rock 'N Roll"
Hammerfall - "We're Gonna Make It"
Sevendust - "I Am (I'm Me)"
Twisted Sister - "Sin City"

In an effort to validate the tribute and bring the band's name into the 21st Century, Twisted Sister has graciously provided its own cover version of the AC/DC classic "Sin City" to close the album. Why? Quoting the immortal words of the ever-charismatic frontman Dee Snider: "You Can't Stop Rock 'N Roll!"

March 18/01 Dave Grohl's Probots

News from worldpop.com:

Dave Grohl has called in Motorhead frontman Lemmy and Slayer's Tom Araya to give him a hand on his nu-metal side project, Probot. Grohl started up his side project after complaining of the stress of touring with and promoting the Foo Fighters. 'I started touring when I was 17, now I'm 32. There's a whole side of being in a band that includes touring to promote a product ... and I want to concentrate on other things,' said Grohl. Foo Fighters guitarist, Chris Schifflett spoke to worldpop about the future of the band: 'We need to take a break from touring, it's just getting too much. After the Rio festival we're going to chill a bit more, concentrate on new stuff. Don't get me wrong, I love touring ... but at the end of the day you're only human, you can only take so much.'

February 25/01 25th Anniversary Show Adventure Diary

When I got the news that Motorhead was throwing a concert bash in London to celebrate it's 25th Anniversary, you know I had to be there! I took the time to chronicle my adventure and it is now available for you to read.

February 24/01 Larry Wallis Interviewed!

On my recent trip to england to catch the now legendary Motorhead 25th Anniversary show, I had the good fortune to run into one of the founding memebers of Rock 'n' Roll's loudest band. Larry Wallis was part of the original trio that formed Motorhead along with Lucas Fox and, of course, Lemmy.

I met Larry at the Hawkwind celebration at London's venerable Brixton Academy the night before the Motorhead Gala. He turned out to be one of the kindest, most articulate and intelligent men I have ever had the pleasure of interviewing. We talked about the past, present and future of his musical career.

That interview is available now for your listening pleasure. Just visit the Special Area and follow the link or Click Here!

January 28/01 Motorhead Records HHH's WWF Theme!

As some of you have heard, Motorhead has recorded a new theme song being used by one of the stars of the WWF, Triple H. Triple H came up with the original concepts for the song and asked Motorhead to recorded it as his entrance theme.

Mikkey and Phil recorded their parts in Austria at the end of 2000. The tapes were sent to the States and the day before his birthday, Lemmy went into the studio with Bob Kulick and layed down his bass tracks and worked up some stunning vocals. It is by far the best theme song any wrestler has ever used.

Bob Kulick stepped in at the end of the recording sessions of We Are Motorhead to help iron out a few of the tracks. It is looking good for Bob involvement in the new Motorhead studio album scheduled to begin recording in April. Mikkey and Phil are planning to come to Los Angeles in March to begin work on the album.

It is going to appear as part of the WWF The Music - Volume 5 CD collection that is scheduled to be released on February 20th. You can pre-order the WWF The Music - Volume 5 CD collection by Clicking here.

In addition, when Lemmy was in the studio with Bob Kulick, he reworked one song that he had started some time ago and is intended for a Twisted Sister tribute.
