Inked Magazine, with a circulation of 100,000, has a multi page Lemmy/Motörhead feature. It is on news stands this week.

On November 21, Walt Disney Pictures will release "Bolt", starring the voices of John Travolta and Miley Cyrus, and featuring MOTÖRHEAD's song "Dog-Face Boy" from the band's "Sacrifice" album. The song is in a mailroom scene where a young worker is listening to it on his headphones and inadvertently wraps super-dog Bolt up in a box that gets shipped off to New York City.

Filmmakers Greg Olliver and Wes Orshoski have been working hard on a documentary about legendary MOTÖRHEAD frontman Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister and are offering a shirt as a special, limited-edition release to celebrate this long-overdue film. Lemmy himself designed the shirt. A portion of the sale of each shirt goes towards supporting the film's production.

The documentary, tentatively titled "Lemmy" is slated for release in 2009. The film promises fans more access than ever before to Kilmister's life, and includes interviews with past and present bandmates and such peers/admirers as Slash, Dave Grohl, THE CLASH's Mick Jones, Alice Cooper, Steve Vai and wrestling superstar Triple H, according to Billboard.com.

Olliver and Orshoski are shooting the film on a combination of HD video and super 16 mm film. Other giants from the world of metal and hard rock will appear in the film as well, with details to be announced. "We haven't heard the word 'no' yet after any interview request," Olliver told Billboard.com

 This past weekend, Triple H and his wife Stephanie were present at the Motorhead concert in New York and the current WWE Heavyweight champion opened up the show with an introduction of his own. With the lights out, HHH's music hit the speakers as fans went crazy while The Game did his usual pose on the stage. "In the world of heavy metal there are legends, there are icons and then there are gods. Get ready to see the gods of heavy metal, the ones who started it all, get ready for f'in Motorhead!" said Triple H. HHH and Steph stayed on the side of the stage for the whole duration of the concert and Motorhead dedicated two songs for the wrestling couple. MOTÖRHEAD mainman Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister was interviewed for former adult film star Jasmin St. Claire's forthcoming autobiography, entitled "What the Hell Was I Thinking?!! Confessions of the World's Most Controversial Sex Symbol - An Authorized Autobiography", which is tentatively due next year. The book, which also features interviews from Ron Jeremy, Kendra Jade Rossi, and a host of others to be announced, is co-authored by Jake Brown.

The latest Italian issue of Rolling Stone magazine, issue #58, includes a four-page interview with Lemmy about the upcoming Motörizer album.

Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles - Review (8,5 out of 10 points)

MOTÖRHEAD "Motörizer"
Maybe because Motörhead (labels?) is constantly pimping product - whether it's endless greatest hits packages, live albums/DVDs or reissues - my expectations for the band have been lowered in recent years, despite the fact that the group is still as visceral as ever live. Latter-day records Kiss Of Death and Inferno have been alright, both decent additions to the Motörhead legacy but, for a while there, it felt like Lem and co. might be on auto-pilot, slogging through another record/tour cycle without much to reinvigorate the band. Well, goddamn if Motorizer isn't that reinvigorating effort, this album taking by surprise and re-energizing the Motörhead faithful to the point of being genuinely interested in the band again. I don't know what lit a fire under Lemmy this time, but whatever it might have been was potent: Motorizer is full of metal and punk moments that rival the best of the group's career, and the band has finally penned that post-‘Ace Of Spades' (sorry guys, I know you hate hearing about that song) anthem they never managed to do before in a track called ‘Rock Out'. Yeah, it's a lame title, but it's a great song, an anthem that is loud, proud and an uncompromising fuck you to anyone who doesn't get it. It'll also be stuck in your head for days, the track one of the catchiest in the group's repertoire. My only complaint here comes via the mix, as Motorizer is polished the whole way through and the guitars frustratingly sitting right in the middle. Had the six strings been up-front (where they belong), it would have elevated Motorizer to even higher plateaus though, as it stands, this is still a strong record. Good to have Motörhead firing on all cylinders again.

This is their 5th CD premiere with MOTORHEAD.

Tragedy struck the Norway Rock Festival when, on 12th July, a young couple were found dead at the festival campsite.  They had suffocated on carbon monoxide fumes while in a bus.  Six other victims were taken to hospital to be treated for poisoning from the fumes.

Motorhead played at the event later that day and began their set by bringing the audience to a one-minute silence in respect for the two dead fans.  A  video of Motorhead's opening can be seen here.

The legendary Rock & Roll band Motorhead was presented with a Golden Disc Award by their label STEAMHAMMER / SPV for sales of 25,000 units in Germany for the DVD Production "25 & Alive Boneshaker", which was released in 2001. The presentation took place on July 4th in Berlin at the Zitadelle, where Motorhead played in front of 5,000 fans together with Rose Tattoo and Danko Jones.

The brand new album "Motorizer" will be released through Steamhammer / SPV in Europe on September 1st, USA / Canada on August 26th and in Germany on August 29th.
